Rockingham Castle Wedding Entertainment with Wedding Singer Matt Johnson

The newly weds Hayley and Matthew Perry had chosen a lovely venue called Rockingham Castle in Leicester to celebrate their marriage. It is not somewhere I have been before but was very impressed with the grounds, a great place for some fantastic wedding pictures! Hayley and Matthew had booked my 'Platinum Package' including both day and evening entertainment. We arrived at the venue, ready to set up for the wedding breakfast. The wedding breakfast room was quite a small but intimate room looked really stunning. The bride had arranged for a fire-eater to entertain guests during their drinks reception, this is not something I have seen before at a wedding and seemed to be very popular with the guests!

The bride and groom and their guests were a lively bunch, they were more than happy to sing along and get involved during the wedding breakfast which was great!! Following the wedding breakfast there was a time for the guests to relax whilst we moved the equipment and set up lighting ready for the evening reception. This was downstairs in a small cellar style room with the bar at the back, this was for the real partiers as the table/buffet etc was upstairs in the room where they had their wedding breakfast!!

Hayley and Matthew had some great friends and family who danced all night, both the bride and groom had a good dance – Hayley liked her boy bands!! We had a  great night and ended on a great high in the same way we had commenced the night with the first dance! I wish both Hayley and Matthew the very best for the future, thanks for allowing me to be part of your special day!

Julie and Graham had chosen to hold their wedding celebrations at Beeston Manor in Preston. The couple and guests were actually from Southport so they travelled around 40 minutes from their church ceremony to the venue, they and the majority of their guests were staying the night at Beeston. This is a venue I have performed at previously and know well. Its a great room with great views. The wedding breakfast and evening reception were in the same room so we had a one hour turn around following the wedding breakfast to set up ready for the night ahead.

The bride and groom had chosen 'Iris' by the Goo Goo Dolls for their first dance, we asked all the guests to form a big circle around the bride and groom and some of the bridesmaids and wedding party joined in with them towards the end of the song. After this I sang my first set, the guests were very lively and definitely up for a party which was great for me!! Following the buffet we carried on the disco and I sang again later on in the evening, by this point many sambuccas had been drank and the guests were even livelier!! It was a great night and Julie and Graham definitely seemed to enjoy themselves, they have a fantastic honeymoon planned which I hope they both enjoy! Best of Luck for the future!!

Wedding Entertainment at Combermere Abbey with UK Wedding Singer Matt Johnson

Natalie and Thomas had chosen to marry at a lovely venue called Combermere Abbey, it was the first time I had been to this venue, they had a large marquee which looked really great. Instead of the traditional wedding breakfast the bride and groom had chosen an 'Afternoon tea' theme with sandwiches and cakes which their guests seemed to really enjoy. The rain managed to hold off for their wedding ceremony and photographs and we managed to escape the downpours until after the wedding breakfast.

I sang throughout the wedding breakfast as the couple had booked my 'Platinum' all day and night package which worked well, the guests were singing along on their tables, we had set up for the evening prior to the wedding breakfast so as soon as the wedding breakfast and speeches were complete we were able to pull back the curtains and the evening reception could begin. Natalie and Thomas were a popular couple and despite the weather had many extra guests attend for their evening celebrations.

The couple had chosen 'The way you like tonight' by Frank Sinatra for their first dance which I was able to sing for them, its a great song and a particular favourite of mine. The night was a great night, they had a  candy buffet which was very popular! All the guests enjoyed dancing and singing as you will see from the photos below!!

We ended the night with 'Marry You' by Bruno Mars, this was Natalie's favourite song so was a great choice to finish with. We had a  great day and night celebrating with the new Mr and Mrs Owens, we wish you both the very best for the future.

Raven Hall Country House Hotel Wedding Entertainment with Wedding Singer Matt Johnson

Sarah and Ashley had chosen to celebrate their special day at Raven Hall Country House Hotel, Scarborough, the couple had travelled alongside their guests from Stoke to chosen venue in Scarborough. I had been booked by Sarah's mother and father Karen and Roger for my 'Platinum' package, including both daytime and evening entertainment. I arrived at the venue prior to the couples ceremony, the room in which their ceremony was taking place was different to that of the wedding breakfast so we were able to set up my equipment ready prior to this. The ceremony room alongside the wedding breakfast room looked great. The couple were very popular having many guests travel with them to celebrate their special day, including a friend of the family who had travelled all the way from Tenerife!!

The wedding breakfast was fantastic, both the bride and groom and their friends and family were defiantly up for enjoying themselves! We even managed to get their great grandparents dancing during the wedding breakfast which was great! They had a  6 course meal for their wedding breakfast, the staff at the hotel were extremely professional and they were very quick between the different courses so as to not overlap with the evening reception which was in another room.

Following the wedding breakfast we were able to set up the stage, lighting and disco for the night ahead. The staff were extremely helpful in allowing the quickest turnaround possible for us which was very much appreciated. Sarah and Ashley's first dance was 'Hero' which I haven't sang for quite some time and really enjoyed singing this for them. They were a young couple and the bride was a keen dancer!! We had a great party and ended the night in the same way we had began in a circle with their first dance replayed. It was a great moment for both Sarah, Ashley and their guests.

We would like to thank Karen, Roger, Sarah and Ashley for a great day and wish the couple all the very best in their future together.

Below are some pictures from the night including my set up for the evening reception:

Masa Restaurant, Derby Wedding Entertainment with Wedding Singer Matt Johnson

Claire and Dave Galloway had booked me for my 'Gold Package' at The Masa Restaurant in Derby. It was a venue I had never been to be before but was a lovely converted chapel. The wedding breakfast had taken place upstairs and the evening reception was being held in the restaurant area on the ground floor.

We arrived and set up ready for the night ahead, the bride and groom both loved music and were keen to start the evening as soon as their wedding breakfast had finished. They had many new evening guests turn up to celebrate with them and the room was full!!

We all had a great night, Dave particularly liked his Indie music so we had a great time singing to Kings of Leon's 'Sex on Fire'!! The night ended on a very unexpected Conga around the room!! This was a great highlight having all of their guests join on dancing around the room!

It was lovely to be part of Mr and Mrs Galloways' special day and I wish them all the best for their future ahead.

Moor Golf Club Wedding Entertainment with Matt Johnson Wedding Singer

Ashleigh and Scott had booked me for their wedding entertainment at Moor Golf Club in Herefordshire. They had booked my top package 'The Diamond Package' which included the ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening entertainment plus disco. Ashleigh had chosen Westlifes 'Flying without wings' to walk down the aisle too which was a great song, I had recorded a shorted version in my studio prior to the wedding to allow enough time for the bridesmaids and bride to walk down the aisle and meet Scott at the top.

I have been to Moor Golf Club previously, its a lovely venue. Ashleigh and Scott were a very popular couple having 100+ guests to their wedding breakfast, and lets just say they were all up for a party!! The wedding breakfast went fantastically – all the guests were singing and up on their feet, I have included some pictures below, it was a great day.

The evening reception was in a different room to the wedding breakfast so we moved all the equipment and set up my staging and lighting ready for night ahead. I knew they would be a lively bunch so it made my job very easy!! The couple were great and we were provided food both during the wedding breakfast and the evening, it was great to be so well looked after.

We really enjoyed the wedding and Ashleigh and Scott seemed to have a fantastic wedding day.

I would like to wish them both the very best for the future.

Ben and Sarah had booked me to perform at their wedding at their wedding reception at Wentbridge House Hotel. They had booked my ‘Gold Package’ including evening entertainment and disco.

I had not been to this venue previously so it was great to be greeted by friendly staff who were able to show us in the right direction. When we arrived the wedding breakfast had just finished and we were able to access the room ready to turn it around for the evening party. The room looked great, the bar was only just outside so it was a great layout to get the party going.

The bride and groom had chosen a James Morisson song for their first dance which was a great song, the couple had 3 children who were ready to party as soon as the disco began!

Ben and Sarah both enjoyed dancing and a wide genre of music was a great for me as I was able to perform a wide variety of both old and new songs. The bride was never off the dance floor and all the guests were big fans of music alongside.

Both Ben and Sarah seemed to have a great night, they were a fantastic bride and groom and I wish them both all the best for their future together.

Jane and Paul had booked me for my ‘Gold Package’ for their wedding at Haslington Hall, Cheshire. It was the first time I had been to this venue, which was a nice surprise. They had arranged an outdoor marquee for their evening, which was just on the lawns of the Hall. It looked great, they had a wedding cake made purely from sweets – it looked fab!!

Jane and Paul had many friends joining them for their evening reception; they seemed a very popular couple!! The marquee looked great with my LED vision backdrop and lights, it really helped to create a great party atmosphere!

The bride and groom had booked our ‘Party Picture’ package, which ended up in 600+ photos being taken as they did not want to stop dancing!! The groom in particular had a great party dance to ‘I’m sexy and I know it’ he definitely stole the dance floor!

The venue staff were really helpful and it proved to be a fantastic wedding venue.

We all had a  great night and the wedding reception on Mr and Mrs Willetts, I wish both Paul and Jane the very best for the future.

Mottram Hall Wedding Entertainment with Wedding Singer Matt Johnson

Today was the first time I had performed at a wedding in the Deve Hotel 'Mottram Hall', Rachel and Chris were a couple from Runcorn who had booked me for my Platinum Package including both daytime and evening wedding entertainment.

We arrived at the venue and met the newlyweds, Rachel greeted us and told us that from the church to the venue they had managed to lose a guest - this being her auntie! This is definitely a first for me! The room at Mottram Hall looked lovely, the room is a large room, this was good for Rachel and Chris as they were a very popular couple having many friends and family who had travelled to help celebrate their special day.

The wedding breakfast was a great success, many of the bride and grooms family and friends were definately enjoying themselves and singing and dancing along. Following the wedding breakfast the guests headed to the nearby bar so we were able to turn around the room for the evenings party. Rachel and Chris had a coach coming with more friends and family from Runcorn which was great, the room was full and everyone was up for having a great time.

The bride and groom both loved dancing, the bride in particular had some dance moves, she also knew every word to Eninem 'Without me' which was hilarious!! We were taking 'Party Pictures' through-out the evening which we managed nearly 600!! Both Rachel and Chris really enjoyed themselves through-out both the day and night and we all had a great time!!

I would like to wish both Rachel and Chris all the best for the future.
